Well, Jenn, there you have it, right from He Who Knows!

Indeed this is a beauty!! I would be getting it soon.
You should keep these orchids in a sort of fully lighted or partially shaded area; with humidity at 60 to 85%. To induce blooming, withhold the watering and maintain cool temperature during winter and expose it to light every day for 9-12 hours. These orchids can grow well in a bright light.
Ack! Sorry...I was thinking of our discussion about phrags and my little schlimii...I forgot we were in a paph thread! LOL
Having said that...I've never heard we should withhold water for paphs either. My paphs tend to send up buds when their new growths are mature...having a dry rest period has never seemed necessary. Okay. Well, I guess I'll just keep doing what works. As long as the plants are happy, I must be doing something right! This is one of those "Don't fix it if it isn't broken" situations, I think. I will merrily go on as I have been...
And on that note, my Paph bellatulum has a HUGE bud on it...I cannot wait until it opens! Hopefully I will have some beautiful bellatulum pics for you all within a couple of weeks!!
I'll stop talking now... I don't want to hijack the thread... I just read the thing about withholding water and was a bit puzzled. Ah, well...
