Hello Sue, I will say it is quite easy to grow. ON my side, I estivate it outside during the late spring, summer, until mid autumn outside into a little greenhouse giving it water and fertilizers during its growth period taking care to let it dried a little between each watering. During the cold months it is placed front of a large huge window face to the south exposition and I reduce strongly water and fertilizers. I consider if you are able to get flowers on Catt and Laelia usually you will get flowers from it. It is my own experience with it.
I use a mix a pine bark and a little bit sphagnum as compost.
It grows at me's under intermediate conditions at home.
