    Ron, hard to understand, why do you have a problem with Peonia tenuifolia. Actually it's easy to grow. Full sunshine and not to much water. Maybe it was the reason, it needs permeable soil.
    I think in two weeks further Peonies come to bloom, then I can post new pictures.
