Cattleya Mini-Green "Ochre"

A primary hybrid in between C. forbesii and C. tigrina.
Now, my C. Mini-Green isn't green.
I guess the hybridizer used a dark brown C. tigrina.
Mixed with the yellowish green of the C. forbesii we got a beautiful ochre color.
But who can be upset about this beautiful ochre color. Not many orchids I know have this color.

I know it. In my photo application it is written with hyphen.

A very pretty cluster Horst. Color doesn't surprise me. So many C. tigrina/guttata to chose from. The name also isn't unusual, I have a Paph. Brecko Garnet. The original cross produced Garnet colored flowers but the remake, the breeder used the alba forms.
