Hi thanks for your replies, well it is a cactus but it does not climb I saw it up in the tree between another plant that someone has called elephant ears and when I googled it the group to which it belongs is oncidium, and it bears a long flower spike with some sort of orange looking blooms, it was just hanging off of that plant which is so prevalent in the mango trees that are here, I am sending this pic for you to see the length of the plant's leaves where the cactus sits in the middle and the branches hang, and also it is triangle in shape too with little barbs that cactus have, I will plant this piece in a pot with wood chips just to see how big it can get and what it will produce.
