Hi,

i posted this one exactly a year ago, this time with better plant/spike shots, and who says that the background curtain should be ironed, haha? I kinda like the wavy ocean looks, and it's serves as an excuse too!

Hi Al,
yes, there is slight fragrance, it's hard to detect on a single bloom, but the entire spike seems to make up for it.

I really like the bloom contrasting with the black background in the last photo. It is such a healthy orchid and what a nice spike! Is that spike like 4 feet long? WOW!

It is that time of year, my Encyclia are either spiking or blooming. I don't have this one...but I may find one as I like the dark color. Very nice!
