Hi Julie and Timmy,
I am an Orchid-o-holic as well. First step toward recovery is admitting the addiction. Although I doubt very much if there is a cure.
Before going for a shopping spree with Diane at Santa Barbara Orchid Show, I promised to myself, "this is your budget, this is how much you are going to spend at this vendor, and this is how much you are going to spend at the other vendor, and this is how much you are going to spend at the show!!!". Well, like Julie said, just one more tiny tiny little plant, maybe not, a bigger one perhaps, just one more, oooh, they are going to give us a good deal, take it, take it since we are not going to be back here for many months!!! And before I knew it, everything went over!!!!
However, this time, I did have an improvement! I did not bring my checkbook with me to the show so I managed to avoid buying anything from a bunch of E-VEAL oversea vendors that I could almost never resist their plants! Did I regret not buying their plants after back at home? You betcha! Oh well, I probably will see them again in July, that is when I will go up there again for another orchid fair!
BTW, going shopping for orchids with Diane, somehow made me spending less money! Do you want to do this again sometime, dear Diane?
