Hi wuness I don't do anything special. However it grows in full sun in a gazebo hanging from the top. I believe the strong light contributes to its rapid growth. I acclimate my light loving orchids in winter to full sun. I have had slight leaf burn but Laelias are fast growers. I have not done back cutting but it might work...btw I use slow release fertilizer
