My exotic sunflowers

Hello
the climate is temperate
I plant the seeds in April, and they start blooming in late June, this year maybe a little later, because we had unusally low temperatures this year in June,
the secret in my case beside the sunny location, is a very fertile land, and plenty of water. since we have long periods of drout, my irrigation system, connected to a deep well provides the rest. so water is free, I just have to pay for the elecricity powering the water pump
every flower and vegetable in my garden is on the overgrwon side, but I don't mind
this years new experiment is the decorative little pumkins
you will see the results in autumn

the wild flower garden is in bloom untill october, the roses are often caught stiil blooming when the first snow falls

Thanks for sharing your pictures, I really enjoy them! I have so much yard that I can barely keep up on the vegetable garden, but I do have flowers which fight their way up in the flower beds. The lawn is neat, my husband keeps it watered and mowed. I'm afraid I'd rather stay in with the AC in our hot summers and mess with my orchids!
