ok, so a while back i got a small v. tricolor suavis because i see it can live outdoors in southern california, and is not the typical purple coerulea hybrid. so yay! even though it's not exactly my favorite colors or anything, being mostly whitish. now i see listings for the v tricolor (but NOT suavis variety) and i am trying to figure out what the difference is. technical descriptions don't seem to differ much noticeably, they mention a slight difference in lip lobe shape or something. pictures i am googling seem to be used interchangeably, so i'm guessing people might have used the wrong stock photos? or do they really basically look the same? some photos seem to show more pink/red color, but not sure if that is just natural variability, or if one is suavis, and one is not.
anyone ever grown or seen both? are they fairly similar? or worth having both in limited growing space? can they be easily told apart when flowering?
