The New Orchidarium and Dendrobium Seedlings!

Not all my orchids are going to fit! what a shame right HAHA. well I finally put it up on my dresser, but I will be "playing around" with the positioning of my plants trying to figure out the best spots so they all fit and grow nicely in there but here are a few, OH and also my new Aridang Blue Dendrobium Seedlings arrived on July 19th. they were shipped during that terrible heat wave and although 2 tiny leaves dropped off of one of them, I am happy with these babies. ok so theres the quick pics..........I have to attend to my 3 year old now lol.

So I had the grow lamps and fan on . It was like 90 degrees with 58% humidity. I turned the lights off and keeping the fan on. Humidity went up to 67%, and it's now 83 degrees. It seems this is going to take a lot of getting used to! And since all my orchids are growing just fine without the case, I just hope I don't screw up their environment now

What kind of light did you get for this setup? Also, how big is the fan and is it actually moving air into and out of the orchidarium?

only 2 lights, one on left is "peach" in color, the other is bluish

Not sure why you are getting so much heat unless the fan is not large enough to move air through the orchidarium. I purchased a 125 W Full Daylight Spectrum lamp for my setup. It is warm, but not hot. Temperature stays around 78 degrees inside the case. Light runs 12 hours a day and the fan 24 hours a day.

Are the lights housed outside of the enclosure? It looks like they are in their own compartment separate from the grow area but I can't fully tell if it's just a reflection.

Yes, a clear panel separates the lights from inside the case where the orchids sit and 2 sliding doors or , vents I should say, are up there. The fan sits below a vent and directly across is the other vent
