Phalaneopsis in bloom.

This is yet my most successful Phal in bloom producing more than 4 blooms. This one was a rescue job as well, was in a hardware store reduced. I brought two, but only this one made it to this stage. Looks like a good plant, even the nodes are plump. I don't know how phals branch out florescence but would like to have one that is such a type.

Very pretty classic phalaenopsis! I have several colors but my big white phal is still my favorite. Good growing.

Lovely! I've found that how easily plants branch depends on their breeding. Some will tend to make one VERY tall stalk with a few blooms, and then others will branch all over the place with many little spikes. It looks like yours could be the branching kind, based on the plumpness of the nodes. I have a ton of rescue NOID phals, and the ones with the "bulging" nodes (like yours) seem to branch out much easier than the ones with flatter nodes.

Once those flowers drop, snip the stalk right below the first flower to drop, and there's a very good chance you'll get more than one new inflorescence off of those lower nodes. They look ready to go to me! You may even find a new inflorescence starting from one of those plump nodes before these current flowers even drop. If that happens, you know you've got a very good bloomer! Lovely plant! Enjoy!
