Thank you Xara, that is really clever. Do a lot of people who grow orchids utilize aquariums in this way? This is all new to me; I have only had my orchids for 2 years.

Thank you Xara, that is really clever. Do a lot of people who grow orchids utilize aquariums in this way? This is all new to me; I have only had my orchids for 2 years.

No idea, really. But I guess those that want to grow some more special non-windowsill-friendly species build vivariums. There are 'real' ones out there and many are custom-built, but for me as a happy amateur (I got my cabinet this summer!), an old aquarium is enought... :-). For now, at least ;-).
