Various plants in bloom

These are some of my plants in bloom at the moment, there are still several in bud and all the cymbidiums are in spike. A lot of the little ones that I grew from seed are showing buds but whether they will flower this year remains to be seen.

Your B. Nelly Isler is spectacular!! Does it like it more humid than other orchids related to the Odontoglossum alliance? As I am standing mine on a humidity tray, spraying it...and it still has wrinkled pseudo bulbs and corrugated leaves. It has been re-potted twice (in attempts to encourage its feeble root system to develop more), and is now in Orchiata bark (has been for about 3 weeks but is still getting worse). I have isolated it now as it could be a pathogen..Yesterday I purchased two new fungicides..One is Bordeaux mixture and the other is Systhan Fungus fighter...I will use my Burrageara as the guinea pig for the Bordeaux powder (I will apply it just as a power), as I want to see how it reacts (I plan to dust my orchids; esp Phalaenopsis with it as a preventative measure, as even the tiniest bit of moisture is setting off fungal infections at the moment..)

Hi, sorry to hear about you plant. My plants are all together most of the time in the same greenhouse except for the paph. They have all just been moved in with the others, that way I only have to heat one area. I find that I can keep my greenhouse at +60% humidity by misting (even in winter) round 10am, I try to keep my plants on the dry side, I find far better growth and root development, as for your plants wrinkling, my personal opinion is that the plant is too wet, my Paphs are notorious for this complaint. I have acquired some Odontoglossums and Beallara plants lately and they are doing very well, they only get water once a week in winter and once every two in summer. I have an oscillating fan that runs 24 hours a day throughout the year.
I hope this helps you as they are lovely plants. I did not check the photo but my plant has another two spikes coming from the other side of the bulbs and these will flower soon. I spray my orchids with garlic tea as I am not that keen on chemical (except in the worst scenario) so I don't have too many problems, fingers crossed. I hope this is of some help, I can only tell you what I do as an expert I am not, just do my best.

Beautiful. I love that Burrageara. I have always admired the cool Burrageara and Vuylstekeara growing in our highland nurseries but they'll never survive in our hot lolwlands . Ditto the cymbidiums. Looking forward to pictures of your cyms.

I love the Bur. "Nelly Isler"! I have the Bur. "Steven Isler", which is more orange, but I think I'm going to lose it. When I got it, it was box store potted too deep in wet sphagnum moss. I repotted it, but damage had been done to the back bulbs and eventually they just rotted on me. I have one p-bulb left and it's lost its leaves... however it does have about 3/4" of a new growth and I keep hoping that it will continue to grow with misting and encouragement. If I lose it, I'm buying another one and now I might buy the "Nelly Isler" as well. Sooooo pretty!

That Burrageara is so beautiful I always admired so sad as cattan said cant bloom at lowland.
