WOWZAAAA!!!!

Among the phrags, the caudatum and related species (wallisii, etc...) are my most favorites. The long petals make them look so elegant! I also start to like the recent discovery, kovachii as well. I am thinking about getting a seedling of that species.

caudatum, warscewiczianum
exstaminodianum (no staminode)
wallisii, lindenii (no pouch, 3 petals)

recently warscewiczianum has been renamed popowii and wallisii has been renamed warscewiczianum. it appears they were described improperly in the distant past and a bunch of people took the opportunity to rename one of the most spectacular species in the genus (the dark warscewiczianum). hopefully this will NOT catch on because of the widespread confusion it would cause with registration, and the fact that we have been using these current names for oh, say, a century already?

So if I buy a warscewiczianum, what will I most likely be getting - a wallisii - a powpowii - or ????

What is mine ? Wish they would leave the names alone I can't remember what the names are now .
