The guide told us that we would see more blooming orchids if we visit in May. I guess the rain would trigger the spike/flowering.
Well, it's not much I can say after all those nice words. WOW, stunning, bravo sound just right!My absolute favorite is the picture with a colony of stunning bifoliate orchids, I suppose C. bowringiana or something similar. You can send the photo to Orchids magazine... I bet they will be happy to publish it!!!

Amey had it right. The catt on the tree is skinnerii, which is the national flower of CR.
