Maxillaria which will not flower

Thanks for the suggestions, I will try giving it more light (although it does get quite a lot already) but now I'm wondering if indeed I am over feeding it and that's why it grows abundantly but doesn't produce flowers. Ray, the difference in what works maybe due to the different growing environments, perhaps? Mine are on a covered balcony. What puzzles me is why the tenuifolia has bloomed but not the other one even though they have the same environment, water and feeding.

Not every plant of the same species, let alone the same genus, will have exactly the same optimal growth requirements. Most species have one or more ranges of territory in which they grow, and the conditions in each, or even within each can vary.

Zainal, when you said "keep him dry" did you mean not so much water? I was under the impression that maxilla rials like more water?

Another example of "different strokes for different folks": the nest Max tenuifolia I have ever grown was in semi-hydroponics, getting constant moisture.
