Congrats Natali it will give you a wonderful moment once it's opened, 12 spikes is so many but I also got the same experience where the small keikies also producing spikes when the season come when in bloom I would suggest to bring the plant inside your room as so many insects really cant stand with this awesome color and smell so one by one will be pollinated by them and the flowers wither so fast.

For the alba form need to take care further in ICU give ample of diluted fertilizer usually will improve the next leaves character and I can see the healthy new root that will encourage further plant growing.
Bang zain,.. thank you for answering,.. the d.purpureum alba i have was about 2,5 meter when i bought it, but about 1,5 meter broke because the delivery guy folded the cane in 2 when he delivered to my house with motorcycle. Very sad, but i'm not complaining because the guy had his wife and kid on the motorcycle , plus orchids.. so i let it go. Later it will grow more i hope..

Simply Wow!!. you are a magician. place should be filled with fragrance.
Initially I thought is alba further close up is ordinary form very pretty long spikes I bet if there is orchids competition I'm sure you are the winner dont detach the keikies unless you want to trade it, next season would be even better.Congrats.
thank you!! It is a very easy species to grow, that's it!
You are right about smell. It was very strong and delicious.
Thank you Zain!
I don't want to remove the keikies because I like how they look! I will detach them only if I want to share with someone. I gave away very first keiki about three or four years ago.
