Was the reflexing on a first bloom or a mature plant? I wonder if that makes a difference as well. This is an older plant that we have bloomed several times.

it was the first bloom but the plant already had four growths (not sure if that constitutes a mature plant)

I'm thinking that haynaldianum tends to reflex the dorsal, so a plant that gets more from the philippinense parent will less likely reflex... still I am in love with my plant because of the colour and marking so definitely a keeper.

Mine was the same - a large, multigrowth plant, but I think it was its first bloom.

Could be a pod parent difference.
