That is the first time I have seen a keiki on a spike with a flower that opened after the keiki developed. I assume this is unusual?
I have not had a keiki grow on a spike yet. I'm due!

Based on my observation most of Phals species from Philippine tendency to produce keikies very high another example are mariae,schilleriana, bastianii, equestris so on, thanks Harvey.
