I grow my Galeottia negrensis in phal conditions and it seems happy. Growing 2 new pb's. Hope it blooms once the new pb's mature. I have not found evidence of old spikes.
I don't know if that is what yours wants though.
Edited to add:
I think yours would be happy with phal culture too.

I found this link for the orchid you have:
IOSPE PHOTOS

I looked up the IOSPE PHOTOS link and there are still many questions regarding care. I guess I will treat like a phal like you have recommended. Any way of knowing if it can handle warm temperatures? If it needs cooler temps I may be in trouble. Thanks 78Terp for your help.
Learn Jay's symbols, Monica!
For Galeottia fimbriata:
The first tells you it likes low light levels. The thermometers tell you hot-to warm growing conditions, and the last two say a winter/spring blooming period.
I agree with Terp - phal conditions work well. I like sphagnum for them.

I guess I haven't followed the recommendations. I doesn't look like its going to make it.

I am not sure last reply thread went through. So here is another try. Obviously didn't follow recommendations. Do not think this little fellow will make it.![]()
