Gilda's lily baby update...

Here is an updated photo of the water lily. We added five more plants last year, but the one Gilda sent to us is still the biggest. It is still white...lol. But we love it!

The water looks a bit nasty around them right now, but in the mornings the blooms are beautiful! 'Gilda' (what we call her) is the really beautiful one with big leaves in the lower right of the photo. Look how big the bud is compared to the others. All of these are in clay pots and are in about 4 feet of water.

Looks good Bruce ! It is the "yellow" one ,and evidently you got a piece that must have turned alba...they are the only ones that hold the flower up above the water like a tropical ....I am honored you call it "Gilda".

Cool! If it is the 'yellow' one, will it ever turn back to yellow? What makes them change? Is it a fertilizer or water issue? Could it have both yellow and white blooms on the same plant? Hmmmm?
