Hwra. Puanani 'Lava Burst'

Boy, this has been the week for flowers. I've aquired several new plants as well as a vulgar amount of cut flowers (leftover from a wedding). Here's the one I find most interesting, the Hwra Puanani 'Lava Burst' pictured here. Once again, sorry for the low light levels. One day I'll take some orchid money and buy a decent camera. No blooms yet, but it looks to be precious. I have a thing for either really really big orchids or really really small ones. Any care tips? I have it in fairly strong light right now.

Keep it well drained. Lingering, soggy, medium is particulary bad for them.

My lava-burst is in bloom. I thought i'd share. Sadly, my camera doesn't capture this tiny tiny orchid very well. I really like this one, I think I might start collecting miniature orchids.

There is new growth on my Lava Burst (which i am so in love with I can barely stand it ). Are these new buds? It sure looks like it. What do you guys think? I hope you can make it out in the picture. The growth is tiny tiny tiny.

My lava burst branches from each node on the bloom spike. Leave the spikes on until the last node has branched and/or the spike has browned and dried up.

Your growing room looks so wonderful! I bet you spend tons of time in there. The lava burst is beautiful. She looks like she is reaching out to the window to show off her beautiful blooms!
