Two compact plants heavily influence by C. walkeriana coerulea were the parents of this cross. The goal was to keep the plants very short, to have more flowers per spike than walkeriana, and to improve the rambling growth habit of the walkeriana parent. This first to bloom plant had two flowers per spike, very short growth, slender upright bulbs, and good flower size in relation to the plant height.
