    Hi Diane,
I am a newbie; I live in Virginia; I know nothing about orchid; my big boss love trees; she collect rose, jasmin, violet, orchid, herbe, etc..(her garden likes a jungle). and she doesn't have time to take care orchid. Most of her orchid are from "for sale" stores, hihihi, don't laugh; I am a terminator (fishman, not a orchid grower). I joked and told her that none of her orchid survive for one year and give flower so she's mad at me and ask me to take care of them to see I do better or not (if not I have to live in my car). So I get hook on orchid since. Most of my orchid are phals and dendro except this one. In summer, I put them under my deck, in winter I bring them in house and put them on a shell near a window. I water one a week, fertilize one a month (that is all a fishman can do). I have no problem with phal (they give big flowers and capsules) but none of dendro are good (grow slow, small flowers, some likes dead tree). Terminator.

Well welcome to the forum. I suggest that you also add more light for this plant, brighter than phals. maybe a little early morning sun if you have such a place during the summer.
