How long after winterizing a phal. Should you see sign of a new spike?

It depends on the phal...some bloom in winter, some in spring, some at other times. Sorry, I am sure you were hoping for a more definitive answer!

Hi my orchid I believe is producing a new spike it has been dormant for some time now about 8-9 months not quite sure. Just wanting to make sure can anyone identify this growth. I am hoping it's spike
Please keep in mind that a Phal will only produce a spike when it has enough energy stored up.. This can be noted by the amount of leaves it has put out during the growing season usually two... How much light this Phal recieved also is crucial then and only then a temperature difference from day to night will initiate blooming. Note how i am not saying any particular saeson as I have Phal that blooms twice a year in Spring and Fall due to temp difference.
