Phalaenopsis pulchra

Any tips on getting my pulchra to flower and not just make babies?

I grow this Phal in my GH all year long with my Cats. So it gets low temperatures in winter (13-15°C at night). Before that, in the winter garden, it never bloomed but produced a lot of keikis.

I've heard rumors that this type tends to keiki more than it tends to flower!

Yes but with good conditions keikis bloom more easily than the mother plant.

Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana var. pulchra

This is the old name. Pulchra was late accepted as a species. I believe that the RHS accepted Phal. pulchra for hybrid registration in 2003.
