    Hi Jack.
    this is not Catasetum pileatum. note the prominent callus at the center of the labellum, pileatum do not have callus except a fine thin rib under the depression of the labellum.
    however this flower has a very strong influence of Catasetum expansum.

    Thanks for the reply, can only go with the ID tag that was in the pot as I am not the collector of Catasetums as you are. I will contact the vendor to see if they can give me the correct name.

    Surprisingly I just got an email back from the vendor that I purchased this orchid from a few minutes ago, I did not expect to hear back from them until tomorrow. The correct name of this orchid is Catasetum piliatum X Cleistes Grace Dunn.

    Cleistes????...
    all i can say is this is a catasetum hybrid and not intergeneric hybrids among the catasetinae.
    the name"Grace Dunn" usually is from the Clowesia genus.
