about the dryness... I have watered it only once after I got it... and I think it really looks thirsty.
I water my healthy cattleyas once a week but since it is getting hotter in our place, I had to water them twice a week. Should I water it more frequently? How about misting it daily?

You should water normally for a smaller catt...every 3-4 days. The original pbulbs are going to look awful, but act like a battery for the new growth. It may look adult, but the new growth will be smaller until it gets a couple new pbulbs grown and should be treated like a juvenile.
