Just found my new obsessions

I just found my new obssesions today whilst browsing through a couple books.

Ancipitia viduata (formerly in Pleurothallis), Pleurothallis schudelii and Pleurothallis mystax. Oh my god are they gorgeous, even the mystax with those little danglies (my wife said they looked like oooze).

Is anyone familiar with their culture at all? So far, everything I found said cool growing, loves shade and high humidity...perfect for New Hapshire, right?

Apparently viduata was only collected once with a single plant entered in cultivation and is hard to come by since all the plants found in cultivation are divisions and cuttings of the original. That being said, I have no idea how to care for it. My books says intermediate to warm, part shade to heavy shade, and its an epiphyte.

LOL... Well I don't know. I just rewrote what I read. I don't actually know anything. Well, I guess I do now.

Aaron - i met the director of the smithsonian's orchid program at the society meeting the other night, and am hooking up for orchidtalk sometime soon. it just so happens hes a pleurothallid guru. hes also letting me and my uncle check out the secret pleurothallid stash . when i meet up with him, ill make sure to ask if he can help with your situation.
