The Dendrobium is a Latouria, so it only flowers from the very top of the cane. If it doesn't heal, then I'll just have a useless stump of a pseudobulb I'm going to remain optimistic, and hope that it can heal back together. Plenty of other plants families will easily graft and heal stems together. It's done with fruit trees all the time. I had a Monstera, an arum, that I snapped a brand new growth off of. In that instance I taped the broken growth back on the plant with a splint, and it healed back together. I'm hoping this works with my orchid.
