Yes the yellow flowers very fresh and strong while the colorful flowers I cant detect at all.

Waalaikumusalam a friend of mine from Seremban was able to blooms this species by right your atmosphere also will encourage the spike formation. I have 2 more plants awaiting to open soon.

Congratulations Zainal for blooming this rather rare species. The first time I saw this orchid blooming was in 1955 and the plant belonged to an uncle, one of the early orchid pioneers of the then Malaya It was truly awesome as the plant was 7 feet tall and the spike was close to 10 feet, if I remember correctly, and had to be 'looped' to keep it off the ground. It was then classified as an Arachnis - it has also been called a Vanda but has now been classified a Dimorphorchis which refers to the 2 (Di) forms (morph) of the flowers. There are now 5 registered species of Dimorphorchis namely lowii, gracilliscapa, rossii , tenomensis and rohaniana all of which are found on the island of Borneo. The named species are all from Sarawak or Sabah. It is very rare to see this species at orchid shows.
