AMAZING! It's so beautiful... and sounds like it's a good size... I like the yellow colouration... though I haven't seen many or rather any of the ones with a white background...

thanks all! I use a canon powershot s80 with a velvet background. Ideally you would use natural light without flash (with probably an SLR) but I'm stuck with some flash bounce-back.

I don't know if a certain background color is necessarily preferred--although I do like the ones with the white background, that's a nice contrast.

the petals are almost 7", and the natural spread and vertical spread are both about 7" as well. a few cultivars have the petals straight out like roth and those are very impressive, since the petals tend to be longer than straight roths.

May I use your picture as a basis for a mosaic?
