    I don't think I've ever seen a picture of Papilionanthe tricuspidata before. That lip is really nice.

    BTW - The correct abbreviation for Papilionanthe is Ple.

    This Papilionanthe is very rare in cultivation. However, its hybrid 'Vanda' Amy can be seen in some collections, and it retains the beautiful lip of the tricuspidata and the bloom is more colourful, a trait inherited from its hookeriana parentage. IMO Vanda Amy is the most beautiful Papilionanthe of all; retaining the elegant and dainty look and lip of the tricuspidata, and colour from hookeriana
