I ordered and just received a oerstedella epidendrum tetraceros.
I potted it with some sphagnum moss around the roots to stabilize it and then used a bark potting mix. I read it needed shaded light, so its on the second tier of my plant shelf, under the shade of most of my catts. big draped leaves. However, I just noticed some of the leaves on it are browned and falling off. It has such dainty leaves I don't know if this is just part of it acclimating to a new environment, or if the low, shaded light it is getting is still too much. I am trying to keep it moist, but the humidity isn't too high... I cannot place it in the terrarium under my grow lights as it would then be in direct light. Anyone grow this and/or have suggestions? I don't want to lose the little guy!
