I believe this Stanhopea cultivar, the "Predator" clone, also got a FCC to its credit, the highest awarded S. tigrina! And it does not disappoint. Some of my Stanhopeas are in spike, maybe we will see them soon.

WOW - now that flower, BD, DOES look like an alien!! That is soo cool! and a nice fragrance to boot! Hmm Think I could grow those in my environment (Indoor with either Catts, Phrags, Paphs or Phals????)

You might be able to see some of these guys in bloom during our incoming trip to Santa Barbara. You can grow these guys OUTDOOR in Southern Cal where you live! I don't know how Pete grows his, but that is how people around here grow them or at least the temperature tolerant ones.
