Hi Monique thank you. I actually put about 3 per rod depending on size of plants (large, medium, small). Rather than having a few seedlings floating around I layer them onto the larger plants and the whole thing ends up looking fuller. Here I placed a baby pacchara blue on top of two Roberts Delight Pink.

I used about 20 purple phals on the tree I went to the Farmers Market and picked up 2 trays of $10 plants in 4" pots (maybe it was 30 I forgot)

Hi Sheryl thank you! Sprinklers do most of the work I don't mess with them. However, one of my Roberts Deligt (purple in the pic) was in the wrong location and neglected. It's blooming now but it's showing signs of neglect so not everything is perfect. I do spray regularly with Physan or copper for fungus and rot. WARNING never spray dendrobiums with copper. I had some major leaf damage with copper

So they do not get direct sunlight at anytime? Also, with sprinklers this would be with regular water not any RO or the such? So with that said. Do you have to change fertilizers that are for regular water?

Hi Monica they do get direct sunligt. My backyard faces east so they get direct sunlight from 8am til 10ish but its not intense. However, I also hang my sun lovers on the fence (those plants are not in the shadow of the gazebo). The vandas are in the lower section so they are protected, it took a lot of trial and error

I do not add fertilizer to my sprinklers, just plain old city water. I use a sprayer with diluted granular fertilizer and spray the roots after they are watered. I find this effective in reducing waste
