Hi everyone, I have not forgotten my promise to be more active this year. I took part in a Show in March and did very well. Took some photos but my PC is on the blink, and I just cannot get them uploaded from my iPad. As soon as I get this sorted out I will post.
I have a strange happening emerging from a Grammatophyllum plant which I have had for about 7 years. It was bought as Gram. Scriptum var citrinum, has flowered prolifically several times, and the flowers were certainly "citrinum" (there is a photo here in the Forum).
This plant now has 6 spikes coming into bloom. The buds are just beginning to open. This morning I looked up to see the first flower open and behold! It was the brown flower of "scriptum". I am so shocked that I had to write right away.
I have to wait until other flowers and other spikes open to see what they are like.
To my learned friends here on the Forum, is this possible, have you experienced something like this.
Angela
