Le Phalaenopsis non amano troppa luce, ombra parziale, puoi regolarti mettendole dietro a un ombreggiante 50% possibilmente bianco, con ulteriore protezione nei estivi, ma ci sono alcune eccezioni, alcune tipo Phal. parishii, Phal. parishii lobbii, Phalaenopsis thailandica, ecc. amano luce brillante, quasi a livello Cattleya, queste nella mia serra sono in posizione che prendono il sole della sera e prosperano molto bene, altre tipo la Phal. appendiculata, la Phal. braceana le posiziono in ombra più intensa, comunque si adattano molto bene alle condizioni di luce e temperatura, molto meno all'umiditÃ** relativa e alla qualitÃ** dell'acqua di irrigazione, molta attenzione va fatta alle fertilizzazioni, personalmente le faccio in modo diversificato secondo i periodi dell'anno.
