Okay, these came out much much better. I checked w/ mom and she said hers is indeed similar in color to mine. Very limey/yellow. I think it is even more yellow since it has fully opened. Very lovely I think.

One more...I find it very interesting how much more the petals have curled since it first opened on Saturday morning. Sigh...new favorite??
Oh, Heather! That is such a great photo! I can see the crystalline sparkles you were talking about! The dark trees in the background and the sun coming through the back of the bloom are awesome! Very nice composition. You should frame this one or make it into a holiday greeting card to share! IT is really beautiful!
Cheers!

Your MM is really very pretty and pettite looking and I like the first picture, very photogenic!![]()
You should print that out like Bruce said and have it framed! Have it displayed, be proud of it!![]()
Aw, thanks guys!I like the first one best too!
Heather, that's awesome! It's so pretty, and the yellow is a nice color. And it's cool that the petals curl like that. Lovely one!
Nice growing!![]()
that's really great that they turned out yellow. It is the "preferred" color by those phraganatics who buy the cross made with besseae flavum--most made with flavum are still reddish. good find!
Heather,
That's such a lovely MM you have there!! I simply love the color...how exquisite!
Thanks for sharing!
Just saw my mom's MM for the first time and it is the second bloom, spike is a lot longer than mine and the bloom is maybe an inch larger which surprised me! The color is the same. Yellow is very predominant!
my besseae flavum is growing slowly...i'm gonna have to call dibs on a division...![]()
