    Chris,

    Consider U-shaped raised beds (google it). They give more square footage of growing area in the same space, with much easier access.

    4' is kind of wide for a raised bed. It makes it hard to reach into the center. Ideally you don't want to walk on the soil in a raised bed.

    LOL! So is it a cotton sheet, silk sheet and 1200 thread count? What happens when it rains? Does it get soaked with water?

    Now if it were green, tan or brown, it would blend in with the surroundings!

    Wouldn't work in my yard with the high winds we get, it would wind up in the neighbors yards and they wouldn't be too happy! LOL

    Great idea. Reminds me of all of the recycled uses for blue tarps we had here after hurricane Katrina.
