    Default Wils Golden Afternoon Rich Yellow

    I have been having trouble with this one on the best way to grow. I decoded to grow under lights and it is looking healthy. It gave me a bloom, although not too many. I have hopes for more in the future.Name: Wilsgolden afternoon golden yellow 1 - 1.jpg Views: 606 Size: 82.6 KB

    Well done! I am in the process of putting in a light room in the basement. My wife wants some of our living space back for some unknown reason.

    Compared to many Oncidium hybrids, your Golden Afternoon has a lot of cool growing species ancestry. It might be stressed if it gets warm days without much cooling off at night. If other Oncids generally do well for you that might be an issue with this one. It looks like you're on the right track now, though. Good growing.

    In current classification it is just Oncidium. Wilsonara was (Cochlioda x Odontoglossum x Oncidium), but that is all Oncidium now.
