Default Catasetum cristatum alba - female

this is catasetum cristatum alba female flower, i rarely get pure green female catasetums. usually there is some degree of hermaphrodism in all my previous female flower. this one is entirely green, perhaps of its alba nature.

i took this opportunity to cross it with other catasetums, one of it with the rectangular alba that bloomed recently.
the three different catasetums cross successfully produces pods, so now just waiting for them to mature, if they successfully make it.

Looks good! Did you cross each flower with a different pollen donor?

two of different catasetum species and one is a self cross to get back the cristatum alba, or perhaps a non alba cristatum later on.

Lovely green. Seed pods looking good too! How many days did you wait before pollinating?

i usually pollinate on the day of full bloom, but i had also pollinated a few days after full bloom, it will 'take' as well.
