Put it in the ground, Diane. It's going to need a lot of room to root if you want it to bloom and flower. i assume you get yearround heat and light, right?
gosh, it looks so tiny and delicate.... good luck with the flowering and fruiting Diane.
Yumm...shall I prep the fruit salad, or will this take a few weeks?
Julie
Details please....What did you do? Is this the top of a pineapple, planted in regular potting soil? Does it already have roots? I would like to try to grow one too!
Cheers!

OMG, thanks to your pic I JUST realized its a brom!!!
I have very little "ground" available. I figure if it takes root, I will move it into the very large container that my avocado tree was in. That should give it plenty of room.
They do very well in pots. I have one in a pot and one in the garden and they both have fruit.
Cin
Pineapple upside down cake ! Yumm ! let me know when it is ready .. Gin
What's the diameter on yours, Cin? It has been a while but I seem to recall about a 3-4 diameter on the ones in Hawaii.
You can also grow them from seed.
Oh and yes Tindo, they are indeed broms.
