I got some good growth on mine after almost losing it to scale but still no flowers. i just noticed today that it has started to send out new roots so i'll have to wait at least another year. I'll have to try to find it some where dry outside next summer. Orchid Avenue sounds about right A town near me had a 7 acre fairground that was established in the 1870's. 4 years ago the town sold it to a developer who promptly built a housing survey on it.
