It's pretty nonetheless, Steve! Is the var. a genetic variation within a cross, such that some seedlings will be blue and some won't? Oh...and just how many seedlings do you have?

I think it's stunning. Just how blue are they bred to be?
As per normal seedlings do vary , sometimes quite wildly.
This plant was bought from a nursery that does not specialise in Phal violacea's.
I do have a seedling that has a very good chance of being blue.
4 shots of blue in the parentage.
Maybe in the spring/summer next year i will have a bloom similar to the link below.

yep, it ain't blue... but that colour sure still packs a whallop
