I saw this when I visited a well-known cattleya specialist near Rio de Janeiro in January last year, and bought it then. It arrived, via Germany with other plants, a few months later, and I then had the usual task of establishing it. It now has two leads with flowers or buds on both ( there is a second bud behind the open flower here as well ) . I found it open today - it was a bud yesterday, so it may improve as the flower matures, and again as the plant matures - the first bulbs I have made are of course poorer than the old ones.
I had never seen the alba form before , not even heard of it. Flowers not as good a shape as the moreliana form, but not far off.
I guess I should have waited for the flower to mature, but I thought this post a contribution to the one Chris started recently on the moreliana form.
