A cross done by many but this plant came from a friend now departed a few years ago. I didn't get to the spike quick enough to assist flower spread. I haven't had it long & wasn't aware of its growth pattern. Should be good for next time. (I hope)

Very busy flower! Wish I knew more about things like assisting with the flower spread.
If I remember, I'll try & put a few pics together to illustrate what I do. Totally illegal by judging standards, called manipulation here, but why be the odd one out?? They all do it. !
Nice colors!
A friend, long gone, who was for many years effectively Chairman of the RHS orchid committee - some kind of equivalent of your AOS judging panels - told me that whatever I thought to do was legal , if there was no trace for the committee to see. If they could see what I had done , then it was illegal. We were talking about making white paphs look whiter ... The trick is to take the pollinia a week before judging... But the paph experts were up to that one, and peered behind the rostellum. Then you were sunk.
