So, My adoptive family in Maine had me go and let the dogs (a Boxer/Pit mix named Jackson and an American Dingo (Carolina Dog) named Dakota) out and feed them one evening and then we went for a goofy person romp through the woods. Well, I inevitable pick stuff up to look at, and I ended up with a small clump of Cladonia (some of it even fruiting with their scarlet "fruits".). I was wondering, since these things are tiny, and we all know how I have a love for the itty bitties, doesn anyone know how to encourage lichens to grow? I know it may seem like an odd side project, but I just absolutly fell in love with them.
