    Default Pterostylis pedunculata

The last of my 'Greenhoods' is now in flower... the flowers and the plants are even smaller than the previous two... but more colourful.

    This is Pterostylis pedunculata

They're so weird, but I love 'em!

How long do the blooms last, Tim?

about three weeks... unless puppies step on them (e.g. the earlier variegated one... lasted only a week and a half!)

You may have mentioned it, but I don't recall...

Are they protected in Oz, or can you dig one up and bring it home?

all Australian orchids are protected and cannot be dug up... you can get permission from the wildlife service in certain circumstances, eg in a logging area, or an area soon to become a road...

but there are a couple of vendors who offer these plants so there really is no reason to get them from the wild...
